When is an enigma not a mystery? When that particular Enigma is a luxurious, purpose-built catamaran, and makes the Atlantic Ocean it’s playground. Waterfront Charters, the V&A Waterfront’s longstanding premier cruise company, have added the elegant Enigma to their already substantial fleet, and they see this stunning vessel filling a particular niche in the cruising market. And we use the descriptive ‘stunning’ advisedly – Enigma is as beautiful as she is seaworthy, the epitome of a luxury boat.
Capable of hosting up to sixty guests with three crew members, Enigma’s powerful twin 230 hp motors make her a very competent sea-going power catamaran, the twin hulls ensuring stability and safety in all but the most extreme of conditions. At 42-ft in length (that’s 12.8 metres in decimal speak) with a 6.8 metres beam, Enigma can cruise comfortably at 15 knots (and that’s 28 kph in Landlubber speak), with plenty of power in reserve. Her main deck has a central cabin with all-round plexiglass to keep out the odd Atlantic squall or pesky southeast breeze, and this is surmounted by a covered upper deck that makes a great viewing platform for both skipper and guests. When conditions are balmy there is an open area over the bows with canvas trampolines where sunseekers can laze, and a gas-fired barbeque at the stern adds a true South African element to her extensive catering capacity.
Charters; private cruises; champagne sunsets – the lot! Whatever our guests can imagine, Waterfront Charters beautiful Enigma is the perfect vessel to make their dreams come true.
